Your public profile is one web address that always shows your current FACEIT numbers: your ELO, every match you play, the players you keep running into, your highlight clips and, while you stream, a live preview of your Twitch channel. You never fill anything in: once your FACEIT account is linked, the page builds itself out of your matches.
Set it up in four steps
Do these in order. Step 2 is the one people skip, and it is the reason a profile page can look empty.
- Sign in with Twitch. That creates your FACEITSync account, and your Twitch name becomes your profile address.
- Link your FACEIT account. In your dashboard, open Settings, go to Connections and click Connect in the FACEIT row. Until you do this, your own page shows "Link a FACEIT account" instead of statistics, visitors see "Profile not yet set up", and the profile link behind your avatar at the top right points at your dashboard.
- Give the first import a minute. Linking pulls your 20 most recent matches in the background. If FACEITSync already held a profile for your FACEIT account, its match stats, encounters and activity move onto your page as part of the link, and the old address forwards to yours.
- Open your page and share the link. Click your avatar at the top right of any page, or type the address directly:
faceitsync.com/en/yourtwitchname. Theenis the language; a link without it works too.
There is no save button anywhere: the page comes from your matches and your settings, and both take effect the moment they change.
Your address and your name
Your profile lives at your Twitch name, so it is short enough to say out loud on stream.
If you rename your Twitch channel, the old address keeps working and forwards to the new one, so a link in a panel or a Discord message from a year ago does not break. The same happens when you change your FACEIT nickname: the old one forwards to the current page instead of dying in a 404.
Nobody needs an account to read your profile: you answer "what is your ELO" once, with a link, instead of once per viewer.
What the page shows
All of it is filled from your matches; there is no field to maintain.
Your social links are the one part you fill in yourself, under Settings and then Social media.
The tabs on a profile
The tabs under the header are real pages with their own addresses, so you can link straight to one.
Profiles of players who never registered
There are two kinds of profile.
- A registered profile sits at the Twitch name:
faceitsync.com/en/yourtwitchname. It has the Twitch preview, the Community tab and everything else on this page. - A player profile sits under
/player/plus the FACEIT nickname. It exists for people who never signed in with us.
A player profile is created the moment we first see the player: a viewer runs the !elo command on a nickname in a chat, or the player turns up in a match we are already following. After a chat request like that, the page carries a "Profile is being prepared" banner while the history is fetched, which usually takes two to five minutes.
A player profile also carries two things a registered profile does not need: a Last updated time (the most recent match we hold) and a Refresh button next to it. The button queues that player for an immediate update and then locks for two hours, so it cannot be spammed. For a banned account it is switched off.
If one of those pages is you, you can take it over. Sign in with Twitch, link the same FACEIT account, then click Claim profile on the page. Everything collected there, the matches, the encounters and the activity, moves to your own profile, and the old address forwards there from then on.
Can I hide my profile?
There is no hide switch. Your profile is built from public FACEIT matches, and that data stays public, exactly as on FACEIT itself. What you can do is decide how much of it is there:
- Unlink FACEIT. Under Settings and then Connections you can disconnect it. Your page then falls back to the link prompt and shows no statistics; visitors see "Profile not yet set up".
- Delete the account. Under Settings and then Delete account. The request marks the account, and you have 30 days to change your mind before the data is removed for good.
One thing happens by itself: a profile whose FACEIT link carries no data yet is kept out of search engines, so an empty page never lands in Google.
When your profile does not look right
Work down this list in order. Almost every case is one of the first three.
- The page asks you to link a FACEIT account (visitors see "Profile not yet set up"). The FACEIT account is not linked. Open Settings, then Connections, and click Connect in the FACEIT row. This is the most common cause by far.
- The page is there but almost empty. The first import is still running. On a freshly requested player profile you will see the "Profile is being prepared" banner; give it two to five minutes and reload.
- A match you just played is missing. A match is added once it has finished and reached us. On a registered profile matches arrive on their own as you play. On a player profile, use the Refresh button; if it is greyed out, the two-hour wait from the last refresh is still running.
- The Encounters tab is greyed out. Encounters are only kept for registered users and for top players, which means FACEIT verified accounts or the regional top 1000. On any other player profile the tab stays locked, because nothing would be behind it.
- A tab is missing or locked. Community needs Twitch data, so it is locked on player profiles. CS2 Settings only appears when those settings are actually shared.
- Your social icons are not showing. They come from Settings and then Social media. Links that do not match their platform are not saved.
FAQ
Where do the numbers come from? From FACEIT. We fetch your matches and build the history, the session and the records out of them. Nothing is estimated.
Do players without a FACEITSync account have a profile? Yes. Anyone who turns up in a match we follow gets a page. Claiming it means linking your FACEIT account, which unlocks the full profile.
What happens if I rename my Twitch channel? The old address forwards to the new one, so links you shared earlier keep working.
Can I post the link automatically in chat? Yes. The "Your links" command pack contains !profile, which answers with exactly this address.
Do I have to save anything? No. There is no save button; every change applies immediately.
