Available in: Free, on every account. All you need is a linked FACEIT account.
FACEITSync watches your FACEIT account and writes down every match by itself. You never press start. But sometimes a number on your profile, in your overlay or in chat looks older than the game you just played. Some numbers are there within seconds, others only exist once the match is over.
Four checks before anything else
Almost every "my stats are old" case ends at one of these four. Do them in order, they take about a minute.
- Is your FACEIT account linked? In your dashboard, click Settings under Account in the left sidebar, then Connections. The FACEIT row says Connected or Not Connected. Without it nothing is tracked: we have no account to watch. There is no save button in your settings, the link is live the moment you confirm it.
- Is your profile still being activated? Right after you link, your dashboard shows a banner titled Your profile is currently being activated. It happens once, runs on its own and usually takes a few minutes. While it is up your overlay and match data already work, but with a delay instead of in real time, and automatic predictions do not start yet.
- Has the match really ended on FACEIT? A match that was cancelled or aborted never produces statistics, and FACEIT itself needs a moment after the last round before the detailed numbers exist. Open the match on FACEIT: if it has no stats there, we cannot have them either.
- Compare two places. Look at the number on your profile and let the bot answer
!eloin chat. Both read the same stored values, so if they agree, that is simply what we currently have.
How a match is detected
There is no single moment when everything updates. Several paths run in parallel, each a safety net for the one before it.
That last row is the one that calls for patience. A match can sit in your history within seconds while its K/D and ADR are still empty, because FACEIT has not published them yet. The refill run picks them up on its next pass.
What arrives during the match and what after it
While the match runs we know that you are playing and who against. What you actually did in it only exists once it is over.
!current arrives switched off. If it stays quiet during a match, check its switch before you suspect the tracking: in your dashboard, click Twitch Bot in the left sidebar, then Chat Commands.
Why your viewers can see an older profile than you do
Your public profile is stored on a cache network so it loads fast for strangers. As long as you are logged in you are never served that copy. A logged out visitor can be, and it may be a few minutes old in their browser and a few hours old on the network.
Two things keep this harmless. A new match clears the stored copy, so the cache only ever holds a page that was right when it was made. And the two parts that change without a new match, your running session and the match you are in right now, are never baked into that page: they are fetched separately each time someone opens your profile.
Why a Bo3 series is one entry
A best of three is one match on FACEIT, with one ID and one result, so it is one entry in your history. Splitting it into three would count one series as three wins or losses and quietly wreck your win rate.
The individual maps are stored nonetheless. Each finished map is kept on its own with its own score and its own statistics, while the entry in your match list shows the series result and the totals across all maps. Older series entries can show the first map only, because the later maps were never stored for them.
Profiles of players who never signed up
Every player we meet in a match gets a profile, even without a FACEITSync account. There is no linked account there, so no messages arrive for them. They are refreshed on a rhythm that depends on how high the player is rated.
There is also a shortcut: when we notice that a player's ELO has changed, their profile is refreshed at the next opportunity, whatever row it sits in and however low the ELO. A player who just played does not wait out eight hours.
You can also push. Every one of these profiles has a Refresh button. It queues that player ahead of the normal rhythm and then locks itself for two hours, with the remaining time shown underneath as Next update possible in. A brand new profile is not slow, it is being built, which takes roughly two to five minutes. In chat, !elo nickname asks for a check of that player at most every 30 minutes.
One case stops completely: if the FACEIT account is banned, the button turns into Update locked and the numbers freeze until FACEIT lifts the ban. And none of this applies to your own account once it is linked. A registered account leaves that rhythm entirely and runs on the messages from FACEIT instead, which arrive within seconds.
When a number really stays wrong
Work down this list in order. The first three cover nearly everything.
- Check that the linked account is the right one. Under Settings, then Connections, the FACEIT row shows which nickname is linked. If you play on a different FACEIT account than the one shown, everything you did there belongs to that account.
- Wait one more cycle. Missing details are refetched every 15 minutes. If the result is there but the stats are empty, this is almost always the answer.
- Look at the match on FACEIT. If it has no statistics there, there is nothing for us to copy.
- On a player profile, press Refresh. That is the only button that pushes a profile ahead of its normal rhythm. If it is greyed out, the time underneath tells you when it unlocks.
- Use
!elo nicknamein chat. If the stored value cannot be proven current, the bot fetches it from FACEIT for that answer instead of repeating an old one. - Make sure you are not looking at a stored page. Log in, or open your profile in a private window to compare. A logged in view never comes from the cache.
- Do not reload your overlay in OBS. It changes nothing: the overlay already refreshes itself every 30 to 60 seconds and is pushed an update the moment your match ends. A reload just reads the same stored value again.
FAQ
Do I have to start the tracking? No. Once your FACEIT account is linked it runs in the background. There is nothing to remember before you queue.
Does it work when I am not streaming? Yes. Your matches land in your profile whether you were live or not: the tracking follows your FACEIT account, not your stream.
Are my older matches picked up too? When you link your account we import your 20 most recent matches straight away, and everything you play after that is added automatically.
How fast is a match detected? Usually within seconds of FACEIT reporting the start. A lost message costs you the live part, not the match: the watchdog re-reads the matches it knows about every three minutes, and the refill run collects the numbers every 15 minutes.
My ELO in chat and my ELO on my profile differ. Which is right? Both read the same stored values, so a difference is almost always timing: one was answered before the match had finished processing. Ask again a minute later.
