Available in: Premium, in FACEITSync Connect for Windows.
With Instant Delay, your streaming program no longer sends your stream to Twitch itself. It sends it to FACEITSync Connect on the same PC, and Connect passes it on to Twitch. You set this up once, it takes about two minutes. Connect walks you through it: in the app, click Sniper protection in the left sidebar, then Instant Delay and there Setup. This page shows the same steps for every program.
The server address. Connect shows it in the setup with a copy button. Normally it is rtmp://127.0.0.1:19350/twitch. Use it exactly as Connect shows it and do not write localhost. Your stream key stays in your streaming program, Connect never stores it.
OBS Studio
- Open the stream settings. Click Settings, then Stream. The Service stays Twitch, and your account stays connected.
- Enter the server. Under Server, pick Specify Custom Server... at the very bottom and paste the Connect server address. Click Apply, then OK.
- Go live. Start your stream once the Connect icon shows up in the notification area. If OBS does not get through right away, just click Start Streaming again.
OBS 28 to 30.1: step 1 is different. Pick Custom... as the Service, enter the Connect server address as the Server and your primary stream key from the Twitch Creator Dashboard under Settings, then Stream, as the Stream Key. With these versions the VOD audio track is not available, so updating to OBS 30.2 is worth it.
More settings in OBS
- Settings, Advanced, Stream Delay: off. Otherwise the delays add up.
- Advanced, Automatically Reconnect: on. That way OBS reconnects by itself after a short drop.
- Output: set Output Mode to Advanced, then Keyframe Interval to 2 s.
- Enable Enhanced Broadcasting: off, so Instant Delay can delay your stream.
- Advanced, Network, Bind to IP: Default.
- If you stream with several OBS profiles, set up every profile you use for CS2 like this.

The same as OBS, except for step 1: Streamlabs needs a custom server instead of the Twitch login.
- Switch to a custom server. Open Settings, then Stream, and set Stream Type to Custom Streaming Server (button Stream to custom ingest). Then Streamlabs no longer fetches the key from Twitch before every start.
- Enter server and key. URL: the Connect server address. Stream key: copy your primary stream key in the Twitch Creator Dashboard under Settings, then Stream, and paste it. You only do this once. Use authentication: off.
- Turn off the cloud options. In the Go Live window, turn off Multistream, Dual Output and Enhanced broadcasting. These three send your stream through the Streamlabs cloud, Instant Delay needs it straight from your PC.
- Go live. Start your stream once the Connect icon shows up in the notification area. If Streamlabs does not get through right away, just click Go Live again.
More settings in Streamlabs
- Settings, Advanced: Stream Delay off, Automatically Reconnect on.
- Settings, Output: set Output Mode to Advanced, then Keyframe Interval to 2.
- After every Streamlabs update or new login, quickly check the stream settings. If Streamlabs resets the address, Connect warns you that your stream is not going through Connect.
- Streamlabs Free is enough, since you only stream to Twitch.
Other programs
Every program works in which you can enter your own server address, for example Meld Studio, XSplit or vMix. Tested are OBS Studio and Streamlabs Desktop.
- Add a stream destination. Add your own stream destination in your program: the Connect server address as the server, your Twitch stream key as the key.
- Check two settings. Turn off the program's own stream delay and turn on automatic reconnecting.
- Go live. Start your stream once the Connect icon shows up in the notification area.
Not supported
Twitch Studio and the NVIDIA App only send straight to Twitch, you cannot enter your own server there. Cloud studios and multistreaming via the cloud, including Multistream and Dual Output in Streamlabs, send your stream from the cloud to Twitch. Instant Delay needs the stream to go from your PC through Connect to Twitch, so none of these work with it.
Recommended: Twitch disconnect protection
In the Twitch Creator Dashboard, turn on disconnect protection under Settings, then Stream. Then viewers see a pause instead of offline during a short drop.
Check that it worked
Start your stream. As soon as the bar at the top of Connect says "Ready: Connect sees your stream", your stream arrives at Connect. From then on Connect turns the delay on by itself in your matches.
OBS dock: your delay at a glance, right in OBS
While you play, the Connect window is usually closed. The OBS dock shows the status of Instant Delay right in OBS, in short words like LIVE, DELAY 120 s, STARTS IN 0:42 or, after the match, LIVE IN 0:30. When your delay needs you, it tells you in plain words and with a warning sound, even when Connect is not responding. It always shows what Connect reported last.
- Copy the address. On FACEITSync under Instant Delay, the card OBS dock shows your dock address. Click Copy address.
- Open the Docks menu. In OBS, open the Docks menu at the top.
- Choose Custom Browser Docks. Click Custom Browser Docks.
- Enter name and address. Enter a name, for example Instant Delay, paste the address into the URL column and click Apply. You can then move the dock anywhere in OBS.
- Check the sound. If the dock says "Click once so you can hear the warning sound", click into it once.
In older OBS versions: View > Docks > Custom Browser Docks.
Keep it private. Use the address only as a dock, never as a source in a scene, and do not share it. As a source it shows nothing. If OBS captures your desktop audio, viewers hear the warning sound too: capture only the game (Application Audio Capture) or switch the sound off with the bell in the dock.
Streamlabs Desktop has no custom browser docks. There you open the address in a browser window that stays open and click into it once: then it shows your delay and you hear the warning sound. The dock is built for OBS Studio.
