FACEITSync connects external services so it can track your matches and run Twitch Predictions, overlays and chat commands. This article explains each connection and how to manage it.
Twitch (required)
- Status: Required. It is your FACEITSync login.
- Used for: login, Twitch Predictions, chat commands and overlays.
- Refresh: Settings, then Account, then refresh the Twitch token.
Without a valid Twitch connection FACEITSync cannot operate.
FACEIT (recommended)
- Purpose: the most direct FACEIT connection.
- Connect via: Settings, then Account, then connect FACEIT.
- Benefit: official FACEIT login that gives full access to your FACEIT stats and match data, and detects your CS2 Steam account automatically.
Steam (alternative)
- Purpose: an alternative if you do not connect FACEIT directly.
- Connect via: Settings, then Account, then connect Steam.
- Benefit: FACEITSync detects the linked FACEIT account from your Steam account.
You only need one of FACEIT or Steam
You do not need to connect both. Connecting one is enough:
- Connect FACEIT (recommended) and FACEITSync also detects the linked Steam account.
- Connect Steam and FACEITSync detects the linked FACEIT account.
- The only requirement is that your Steam and FACEIT accounts are correctly linked on FACEIT.com.
Connecting both manually gives no extra benefit.
Minimum for a complete profile
- Twitch - required.
- FACEIT or Steam - one of them is enough (FACEIT recommended).
Refreshing and reconnecting
If a feature stops working, refreshing the affected connection usually fixes it:
- Go to Settings, then Account.
- Click refresh token for the affected service.
- Re-authorize the connection if prompted.
Reconnect after changing your Twitch username, if Predictions stop being created, if FACEIT stats or matches stop updating, or after a security change on Twitch, Steam or FACEIT.
Common connection issues
- The connected Steam account is not linked to the correct FACEIT profile on FACEIT.com.
- Multiple FACEIT accounts exist for the same person.
- The wrong Steam account was used during authorization.
- The FACEIT account is already linked to a different FACEITSync account. A FACEIT identity can only belong to one FACEITSync account, so the link is rejected if it is already in use.
If data looks wrong, verify the Steam and FACEIT link directly on FACEIT.com.
Security and privacy
- All connections use official OAuth authorization.
- FACEITSync never stores your passwords.
- You can revoke access at any time from Twitch, Steam or FACEIT.

Is connecting accounts free? Yes, on all plans.
Should I connect FACEIT or Steam? Connect FACEIT - it is the recommended, most direct connection and detects your Steam account automatically. Steam also works as an alternative.
Do I need both FACEIT and Steam? No. Twitch plus either FACEIT or Steam is enough.
Why are my FACEIT stats wrong or missing? Usually the Steam and FACEIT accounts are not linked correctly on FACEIT.com, or the wrong Steam account was authorized.
Can I link one FACEIT account to two FACEITSync accounts? No. A FACEIT account can only be connected to one FACEITSync account.
