Season 10 detailsthrough November, one announcement at a time

You can keep queueing after Season 9 ends. FACEIT only closes the queue for a short while when Season 10 goes live on December 9 at 13:00 CET.

What is confirmed for Season 10

New server locations. FACEIT has not named the cities yet. Servers are the first announcement in November.
Revamped interface. The platform itself gets a rework.
Reworked team experience. What changes for your team and your stack comes with the team play announcement.
Soft ELO reset and placements. Details in the next section.
More updates. There is more on top of the three big ones, and all of it goes live together on December 9.

The order of the announcements: servers first, then team play, then the platform and the rest. FACEIT collects everything on its Season 10 page at fce.gg/s10.

Soft ELO reset and placements: what it means for you

Season 10 opens with a soft ELO reset. The rule: the higher your ELO, the more it moves. That is how FACEIT keeps inflation in check at the top, so the highest levels stay competitive. Most players only see a small adjustment, and staying active during the season keeps it even smaller.

After that, your placement matches decide where you start in Season 10. Play them well and you get a shot at starting higher.

What you can do right now
Stay active until December 8: according to FACEIT, that keeps your adjustment smaller.
Take your placements seriously: they set your starting point in Season 10.

For comparison: for the Season 9 reset, FACEIT looked at your last 50 matches, your win rate and your FACEIT Rating. Whether Season 10 works the same way, FACEIT has not said yet. How resets and placements have worked so far is covered in our guide FACEIT Season Reset: Placements and ELO. We will bring it up to date for Season 10 before December 8.

What is still open

How many placement matches you have to play
How hard the reset hits each level
Which server locations get added
Whether the map pool changes
Whether the Ban Policy changes. What has applied since Season 9 is in our overview of the Season 9 Ban Policy.

As soon as FACEIT publishes more, we will update this post.
