Terms of Service

for FACEITSync

1. General Information and Scope

These Terms of Service govern the contractual relationship between you as the user and FACEITSync, represented by Ioannis Pavlou
c/o IP-Management #8391, Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 18,20459 Hamburg, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us” or “FACEITSync”).

By using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

These terms apply to all services we offer through the website faceitsync.com, including FACEITSync Premium and all associated features.

Note:
FACEITSync is an independent project and is not officially affiliated with FACEIT, Twitch, or Valve/Steam.

2. Description of Services

FACEITSync provides a platform that enables Twitch streamers to automatically create and resolve Twitch Predictions based on their FACEIT CS2 matches. The core features include:

  • Automatic creation of Twitch Predictions when a FACEIT match begins
  • Automatic resolution of Predictions based on match results
  • Display of FACEIT statistics, match history, and ELO data
  • Customizable prediction settings and overlays
  • Access to additional features via FACEITSync Premium (e.g., advanced stats, automation, API tools)

We reserve the right to modify, expand, or restrict our services at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

3. Registration and User Account

To use FACEITSync, you must sign in with your Twitch account and link your Steam or FACEIT account. Authentication is handled securely via OAuth 2.0.

3.1 Requirements

  • You are at least 16 years old.
  • You have an active Twitch account.
  • You have an active Steam account.
  • You have an active FACEIT account linked to your Steam account.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. We recommend using strong passwords and enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on your linked accounts. You must notify us immediately if you detect any unauthorized access or security breach.

3.3 Data Access

By using FACEITSync, you grant us access to certain information from your linked accounts (e.g., Twitch ID, FACEIT stats, match data). Details are provided in our Privacy Policy.

4. User Obligations

You agree to use our services responsibly and in accordance with these Terms of Service.

4.1 Prohibited Activities

  • Using our services for illegal purposes
  • Attempting unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Circumventing security or access restrictions
  • Uploading or distributing malware or harmful content
  • Interfering with the operation of our services
  • Using bots or automated scripts to interact with our services
  • Sharing your access credentials with third parties
  • Manipulating Twitch Predictions or FACEIT matches

4.2 Compliance with Third-Party Terms

You must comply with the terms and community guidelines of Twitch, Steam, and FACEIT. Violation of these may result in suspension or termination of your FACEITSync account.

4.3 Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for all content generated through your use of our services, including Prediction titles or chat messages created on your behalf.

4.4 Third-party content and advertising

FACEITSync is not responsible for content, advertising, or sponsorship published or displayed by users or third parties while using our services. Responsibility for such content lies solely with the respective streamer or provider.

Use of our overlays or tools does not imply any content or business connection between FACEITSync and the brands, sponsors, or offers displayed, unless expressly stated otherwise.

5. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in FACEITSync, including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, software code, and designs, belong to us or our licensors.

5.1 License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our services for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

5.2 Restrictions

  • You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our services.
  • You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software.
  • You may not remove copyright or ownership notices.
  • You may not rent, lease, or sublicense our services.
  • You may not use our brand or logo without written consent.

5.3 Feedback

If you provide suggestions or ideas to improve our services, you grant us the unrestricted right to use them without compensation.

6. Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, reliability, or uninterrupted availability.

6.1 Disclaimer

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits or income
  • Data loss or corruption
  • Interruptions or delays in service
  • Malware, viruses, or third-party failures (e.g., Twitch, FACEIT, Steam, Cloudflare, Brevo)

6.2 Liability Cap

Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for business interruptions, lost profits, or other commercial losses.

6.3 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, war, strikes, infrastructure outages, or governmental restrictions).

7. Termination

You may terminate your use of our services at any time by deleting your account or unlinking Twitch, Steam, or FACEIT.

7.1 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms of Service
  • You violate Twitch, Steam, or FACEIT terms
  • We suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity
  • We are required to do so by law

7.2 Consequences of Termination

  • Your right to use our services expires immediately.
  • Your credentials will be disabled.
  • Sections that logically survive termination (e.g., liability, IP) remain in effect.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The current version will always be available on faceitsync.com. In the event of significant changes, we will notify you via email or an on-site notice. Continued use of our services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Where legally permissible, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Tübingen, Germany.

9.1 Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force. A valid clause most closely reflecting the original intent shall replace the invalid one.

9.2 Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and FACEITSync and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

10. Premium Subscriptions and Payments

FACEITSync Premium is a paid digital service that provides access to extended features and functionality. Depending on the selected plan, Premium access may be granted as a recurring subscription or as a one-time payment.

10.1 Payment Methods

Payments for FACEITSync Premium are processed exclusively through third-party payment providers. Currently supported payment methods include:

  • PayPal (subscriptions and one-time payments)
  • Stripe (credit card and supported payment methods)
  • Coinbase Commerce (cryptocurrency payments)

FACEITSync does not store full payment details such as credit card numbers or wallet private keys. We only receive transaction references, payment status and plan information from the respective provider.

All prices are final prices in accordance with § 19 UStG (German small business regulation) and do not include VAT.

10.2 Subscription Term and Cancellation

Subscription-based Premium plans are billed on a recurring basis and automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period via the respective payment provider or your FACEITSync account.

After cancellation, Premium access remains active until the end of the already paid period.

10.3 One-Time Payments

For one-time Premium payments (e.g. fixed-term access), Premium features are unlocked immediately after successful payment confirmation and remain active for the purchased duration.

10.4 Cryptocurrency Payments (Coinbase Commerce)

When paying via Coinbase Commerce, payments are made using cryptocurrencies. Cryptocurrency transactions are technically irreversible.

Refunds, if granted as a goodwill gesture, are handled manually and outside the blockchain. There is no automatic right to reversal or chargeback for cryptocurrency payments.

The user is responsible for sending the correct amount to the correct wallet address. Transactions sent to an incorrect address or network cannot be recovered.

10.5 Suspension or Termination by FACEITSync

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate Premium access for good cause, in particular in cases of abuse, fraud, misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

11. Right of Withdrawal for Digital Services

FACEITSync Premium constitutes a digital service that is provided immediately after payment.

By completing the purchase, you expressly agree that FACEITSync begins providing the service immediately and acknowledge that your statutory right of withdrawal expires once service delivery has begun in accordance with § 356(5) BGB.

This applies in particular to subscription-based services, one-time digital access and cryptocurrency payments.

You may cancel recurring subscriptions at any time to prevent future payments, but already paid periods are non-refundable unless required by mandatory law.
