How it works

Step 1

The switch is already on

You'll find it in your dashboard under Settings > Moderators. It gives your Twitch mods access.

Step 2

Your mods show up

“Connect with Twitch” pulls in your full mod list. Otherwise the FACEITSync bot picks them up as soon as they type in chat.

Step 3

Unlock rights

A regular mod can't do anything at first. You unlock whatever you want their help with.

One click and your mod can jump in.

Whatever you switch on applies instantly. Switch it off again and that area is closed to them.

Turn on a right and see what your mod can open.

They are a mod in your Twitch chat. Here they may do nothing at first - you decide what they get. Granting nothing is a valid answer too.
Chat commands Granted Manages your commands and brings the FACEITSync bot back if it's missing.
Bot and language Granted Sets up your FACEITSync bot, like which language it replies in.
Predictions Granted Sets when and on what your viewers bet their Channel Points.
Highlights Granted Renames, hides or deletes your highlight clips.
Overlays Granted Sets up your overlays. You see changes on stream instantly.
Smart Ads Premium Granted Sets when ads run and for how long. With your Premium.
Stream sniper check Premium Granted Toggles the Streamsniper Check and sees who from the lobby was in chat. With your Premium.
Social links Granted Edits the links to your channels on your FACEITSync profile.
Moderators Granted Shares their rights with other mods, takes them back and can block mods.

If your mod list is connected to Twitch, it works like this: unmod someone on Twitch and their access here ends too.

Chat bots stay out

Nightbot, StreamElements, Streamlabs, Moobot and other well-known chat bots don't show up in your list, even if they're mods.

Want someone to stay a chat mod but keep them out of your dashboard? Block them here. They stay a mod on Twitch.

Your Head Mod can do more.

Make someone Lead Moderator on Twitch and they become your Head Mod here as soon as the FACEITSync bot sees them in chat. They start with every right you can grant, can pass them on to your other mods, and you can take away any one of them.

How it works for your mod

You don't have to invite anyone. Your mod works with their own FACEITSync account.

  • Sign in with TwitchThey sign in with the same Twitch account they use to mod your channel.
  • Pick a channelThey pick who they're working for right now. That way they can help several streamers too.
  • Sees only what they're allowed toAreas they have no right for are missing from their menu. They always see whose dashboard is open.

Premium

Premium runs on its own. Your mods set it up.

Your mods already help you without Premium. With Premium, they've got even more to do for you around the match.

Smart Ads

If you're an Affiliate or Partner, your ad break runs automatically at match start instead of mid-clutch.

Frequently asked questions

How do I give my Twitch mods more permissions?

You unlock them in your FACEITSync dashboard, right by right and mod by mod. You don't have to change anything on Twitch for it.

Do my mods need the Editor role on Twitch?

No, Mod is enough. The Editor or VIP role on its own gives no access here.

My mod doesn't have a FACEITSync account yet. Does it still work?

You can set up their rights in advance. They apply as soon as they sign in with Twitch.

What if a mod messes up a setting?

Take the right away again or block them. Anything they already changed, you reset yourself.

Does Mod Access cost anything?

No, not for you and not for your mods. You only need Premium if they should also run Smart Ads or the stream sniper check for you.
